Introduction

While the Woolen Yarn industry was growing and maturing, the need for a common platform to co-ordinate policies and activities between the Government and the Industry emerged. Hence, the Woolen Yarn and the first step toward the creation of the Association in 1990 A.D. The Central woolen Yarn Industry Association of Nepal established on the initiative of Hand spunned woolen yarn entrepreneurs. Head office is located in Chuchepati, Kathmandu and regional offices are established at eastern and western part of Nepal. This association is comprised of entrepreneurs who produce woolen yarn by traditional method of hand carding and hand spinning of wool of different qualities and origin such as Nepalese wool, Tibetan wool and NewZeland wool of carpet class.
